The same eSUN PLA+ we sell by the kilo, wound onto 3 kg and 5 kg spools. If you print in batches, run long jobs overnight, or simply get through black and white faster than anything else, the large format costs less per kilogram and spares you a filament change in the middle of a print.
The price per kilogram is lower than buying the same quantity in 1 kg reels. Long or tall prints finish without a splice or a swap partway through, and a batch of the same part can run without reloading between jobs. There is also less packaging to throw away for the same amount of filament.
A 3 kg or 5 kg spool is physically larger and heavier than a standard 1 kg reel. Check that your printer's spool holder takes the diameter and the weight, or plan to stand the spool on the floor or on a separate roller beside the machine. That is what most people do and it feeds perfectly well.
It is ordinary PLA+: tougher than plain PLA, better bonded between layers, easy to print and happy without an enclosure. Start at 190-230 °C on the nozzle and 45-60 °C on the bed.
Black in 3 kg, and Black or White in 5 kg.
